North Devon
North Devon is a stunning part of the UK; it has a beautiful mix of lush green farmland and small fishing villages. In summer, Devon is inundated with thousands of visitors looking for a slower pace of life and beautiful scenery. Some of the highlights of the area include:
Appledore
Where the Taw and Torridge rivers meet you will find the beautiful Appledore, a thriving fishing and trading village dating back to the 14th century. Along the quaint, narrow streets and drangs of Appledore there are many fishermen’s cottages, some of which date back to the Elizabethan era. Picturesque Appledore provides a peaceful base from which to explore North Devon, and is close to surf beaches plus the ancient market towns of Bideford, Barnstaple and Great Torrington.

Westward Ho!
The wide expanse of beach and colourful shacks make Westward Ho! a favourite for holiday makers. The village name actually comes from the title of Charles Kingsley’s novel Westward Ho! (1855), which was set in nearby Bideford.

Clovelly
The cobbled, traffic-free, high street of this world famous fishing village, built into a cleft in a 400 foot high cliff, tumbles its way down past whitewashed cottages festooned with flowers to the tiny working port. Unusually, the village is privately owned and has been by the same family since 1738.

Exmoor
Exmoor is a National Park situated on the Bristol Channel coast of South West England. The park straddles two counties with 71% of the park located in Somerset and 29% located in Devon. It is home to the Exmoor pony, a horse breed native to the British Isles. They roam as semi-feral livestock on the Moor.

Lynmouth
Lynmouth is a beautiful village on the north edge of Exmoor. The village straddles the confluence of the West Lyn and East Lyn rivers.

Great Torrington
Great Torrington is a friendly, welcoming town, set in the midst of rolling, unspoilt green countryside. It is an ancient settlement extraordinarily sited on an inland cliff top with steep drops down to the River Torridge below offering spectacular views.
